Creation Stories, Generational Trauma, and an Energetic Tarot Course.
I had a religious upbringing, which I think most of us do in the early stages of life the way it’s taught, sometimes with fire and brimstone and other times with respect for the beginnings of time. Initially Mum took me to church each week, I wasn’t forced it was because I loved the stories of the heroes of the Bible, especially Jesus and how he healed people, to me it also seemed I was close to the creator, but it wasn’t until the human aspect arose and put down rules that I knew didn’t come from God. The first one was guilt, at not having enough to put into the plate, 3 times it went around one Sunday, it was then I turned my back on the human aspect of the church but kept the creator in my heart.
I’m no religious scholar but, I loved the creation stories in the Bible and still do, I still ruminate over them to find the gems that were laid in those words so many years ago. I now look to the Bible as a healing and self-development manual and I’ve used some of the stories in my healing journey they make sense and have worked, not with the function to gain favor with the creator, but to find balance and more clarity with what’s going on in my life.
I now like to use those stories in my own healing business, Reiki opened me up to the energetics of life and the connection to it all and Tarot helped me plunge into the depths of my soul. Everything is energy, including us, which got me thinking about the stories, of our energetic selves, and what traumas are encased in those stories. Let’s start at where God created humankind in his image, he created them male and female. That to me suggests that Adam and Eve were just one human, but God wasn’t about to just create one, most of humanity was created in the same likeness with both Masculine and Feminine attributes.
Generational Trauma:
As energy beings, we hold both Masculine and Feminine energy and frequencies within ourselves. I feel the best place to start healing ourselves is to get to know our own Masculine and Feminine energy. Merely knowing that energy is not enough, healing the wounds associated with both energies is key. And you can trace that down from your family tree. There is another key from the Bible, the trouble in the Garden of Eden came from the humble Apple tree. Our generational traumas come from our family tree, not necessarily Apple. Through understanding and healing, we become gentler towards ourselves, understand others better, and gain more compassion for humankind. As healers, we start understanding the mechanics of someone wanting to be healed and what to feel for when they come forth.
Many wounds emit from the Garden of Eden story, you could call it the birthplace of trauma, imagine seeing someone similar to you, falling in love with the God-self of them, then being confronted with their primal nature. The activated energetic wounds are a few, feelings of not being good enough, jealousy, competitiveness, codependency, shame, lying, cheating, and stealing. It's quite the fruit bowl of wounds and throughout time those wounds help feed the ego, and in doing so the loss in that again is the separation from the creator, ourselves, and others. It takes a long time to defeat the ego because it holds on for dear life.
Nowadays, it’s slowly being recognized as healing generational trauma, not everyone would like to go as far as the creation story, but it is a part of our genealogy regardless of where we started. The creation stories have been a part of our lives for generations. Sometimes just the thought of nosing around in your family backyard is enough for some people to not dig so far. The family secrets that we don’t wish to bear. Evolution doesn’t stop for anyone, it keeps the wheels turning regardless. To save future generations from living through the same fate, these traumas are being revealed now to be healed. Humanity has done enough hiding in the shadows, it’s time to become like Pandora and open that box of wisdom. You’ll be glad you did in the long run.
